Tech Tip Product: Series 15 Tech Tip #: TTSCSI.002 Originator: Peter Jarrett Date: March 1992 Subject: Using Drives with Distinctive Characteristics Fujitsu Drives (MS2623FA, MS2624SA, M2266SA, M2652XA) The SYNCHRONOUS jumper needs to be removed before use. DEC Drives (RZ35 and RZ26) needs to be jumpered for AUTO SPIN before use. The jumper is located on the front panel of the drive, fourth from the left of the set of jumper pins. The SCSI ID jumpers are the three sets of pins located to the left of the AUTO SPIN jumpers. These drives are terminated by jumpering the terminator jumper ONLY, located near the back of the drive. NOTE: BIOS 1.08L or higher is required for all DEC drives DSP 3085 Panasonic Optical Drives (LF7010 or LF7012A) a. Under DOS, the following drivers are required: Corel Driver (DOS) version 2.03 or higher SCSI Express for DOS version 1.5.0 or higher. b. Under SCO Unix 3.2.X: SCSI Express for SCO UNIX version 1.3.0 or higher. Interactive 3.0 The Archive 2525S tape drive works only with a 525 MB tape cartridge. Any size less will produce a "write I/O error".
